You’re Not Alone

When it comes to depression and suicide, there are many ups and downs; not only for those who are struggling but for those supporting their loved ones. The thoughts and actions that follow both suicide and depression affect everyone. This week, as I’ve been talking to more people who are affected by these, I find my heart unusually heavy.

It’s easy to get lost in the darkness. It’s easy to not understand what someone around you may be going through. And unfortunately, it’s also easy to not say anything when you need to. People who are dealing with suicide and depression, directly or indirectly, sometimes have a tendency to isolate themselves. To feel alone. It’s important to remember this isn’t true. There are hundreds of people around you on a daily basis that are struggling, but there are also more who are helping to fight for awareness. The video below is a great example of support and proves that nobody is alone. We’re all fighting our own battles. If you want to find an Out Of The Darkness Walk near you, check out their website.
